Blood samples are the simplest method of measuring hormone levels which are crucial for proper diagnosis. The other methods, especially saliva, do not accurately measure those levels. Our protocols are standardized using blood hormone levels. Saliva and blood levels, even taken at the same time, do not match.
Why does my other physician take saliva or urine samples and you use blood samples?
